We have 7th grade, 4th grade and 2nd grade. In my post about fitting into a mold, I explained that we follow a rather Classical, Charlotte Mason, unschooling approach of homeschooling. With that in mind, we are using the following curriculum this year:
Classical Conversations Foundations
~ History, science, language arts, math, Latin, fine arts, scripture memory, geography
Teaching Textbooks
~ Math level 6 and level 3 (for the 7th and 4th grader)
Horizons math from Alpha Omega Homeschooling
~ Math level 1 for the 2nd grader
Story of the World
~ fill in for History for all three
Reading & Phonics (for 2nd grader)
~ Reading Eggs
Literature - Read Aloud for all three
~ A Cricket in Times Square
~ Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler
~ The Magician's Nephew
~ Prince Caspian
We also supplement with a variety of videos found on Netflix and YouTube, hand's on activities and field trips.

I love your choices. I notice a lot of similar items...and I have found that we love our laid back schooling with lots of books!
ReplyDeleteAmanda, I'd love to know what books you're reading. We're working our way through the Narnia series right now, but are always on the look out for great stuff.
DeleteI like your curriculum choices! We also love to read real books. Hope your blogging and home schooling goes well. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Real books are the only way to go!
