God is good, all the time

My friend reminded me of this tonight.  My friend who wears a colorful turban to hide her head made bald from chemotherapy.  "God is faithful" another said.  This one still grieves the loss of a young son.  I am blessed to have these people in my life.

And God is good.  And He is faithful.  Tonight, surrounded by friends with whom we serve, children we love at church, people who love us . . . someone "secretly" left a card for Chris and me.  It was addressed to us via magazine cut-out letters.  Inside simply read, "Thank you" and "We love you".  And inside was money.  Enough to pay a couple of bills or cover a few weeks of groceries.

This a few days after we received another, "Thanks for your time, Chris, but we decided to hire someone else" letter.  Had another, "God, won't you tell us where you're going with this?" conversation.
Though He hasn't exactly shared His plan with us, neither of us have had a mountain top conversation with Him a la Moses. . .

He did remind us tonight that He loves us.  He is faithful.  And He is good, all the time.
